16 to 19 year olds

There are national schemes to help support 16 to 19 year olds who wish to continue learning after GCSEs such as the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) scheme. The Student Finance Section also administers the Learner Support Funds for students in post 16 education who live in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Open University Students

If you don't already have a degree and you are studying an undergraduate course, you can qualify for financial support even if you have a household income as high as £30,000 (more if you have dependants).  For more information go to the Open University website, or contact the OU Financial Support Office:
