Student Finance

The Student Finance Section administers financial support for students in higher education.  If you are over 16 and looking for help with funding your study, we can also advise you on whom to contact for further information.

Students in higher education who want financial support including help with tuition fees and a student loan must apply to the Local Education Authority (LEA) for the borough in which they live. Therefore, students who live in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead must apply to this LEA for their financial support.

There are national schemes to help support 16 to 19 year olds in further education. Please contact the Student Finance Section for more information or see the Connexions Website (external link)

The Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) scheme offers help for students aged 16 to 19 who will start post 16 education from September 2004. The Student Finance Section also administers the Learner Support Funds for students in post 16 education in schools who live in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
