The Sensory Consortium Service keeps a resource bank of specialist equipment available for loan to schools which is maintained in good working order. We provide advice and guidance to relevant staff in the appropriate use of this equipment and keep staff appraised of new developments/research outcomes through written information, the telephone and annual technical update workshops.
We aim to ensure appropriate and equitable access to specialist education equipment for children with hearing and/or visual loss, across the six authorities within the joint arrangement.
