What is an Educational Psychologist?

We are applied psychologists with a background in teaching. We have skills in a range of psychological and educational assessment techniques and in different methods of helping children and young people. We work within the school system and the community. We are concerned with children's learning, well-being and development.

Each Educational Psychologist works regularly with a specific group of maintained schools within the Royal Borough, both mainstream and special. The British Psychological Society maintains a register of Chartered Educational Psychologists. All Educational Psychologists working for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead qualify for chartered status and training is regularly updated.

The Educational Psychology Service is currently in the process of writing a new leaflet, which will be published here is due course. In the meantime, here are our Contact details.
