Schools work within the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs. You can find out more about this framework of support from your child's school.

Alternatively, for further information about the Code of Practice you can visit the NGfL Inclusion website: http://inclusion.ngfl.gov.uk/ or log on to the DfES SEN website for the guide for parents and carers: www.dfes.gov.uk/sen.

If you would prefer to look at a video about this, please contact the Special Educational Needs Dept. on: 01628 796779 or e-mail: sen@rbwm.gov.uk and ask for the video "Every Child is Different".

You may also contact the Parent Partnership Officer for advice. Parent Partnership, funded by the Local Education Authority but working at 'arm's length' from it, offers an impartial and confidential service to support parents or carers of children with special educational needs. For further information, please contact the Parent Partnership Officer on: 01628 683182 or email parent.partnership@rbwm.gov.uk .
