Support for Governors

The Governors' Services Section is part of the Education Department at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Purpose

The Governor Support Service aims to promote and develop effective governance of the highest quality in Windsor and Maidenhead schools in order to provide an educational framework within which all pupils have an equal opportunity to achieve their very best.

Information and Advice

Governors' Services exist to provide the support, advice and training which enable all governors to contribute fully and effectively to the work of their governing body.

Location

Governors' Services is located in the Learning & Achievement Unit of the Education Department at St Ives House, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF.

Training

An annual programme of central core training for school governors with course details is organised as well as briefings for Chairs of governors and clerks.

Targeted support and bespoke training for individual and clusters of governing bodies/schools is available in consultation with Governors' Services.
