Primary School Admissions

The Primary Admissions Guide

The Primary Admissions Guide has been written to help you apply for a primary school place for your child.  The Royal Borough Admissions Team is now responsible for dealing with Primary School allocations.

Children reach statutory school age at the beginning of term following their fifth birthday.  Parents are under no legal obligation to provide education for their children before that date, although they may wish to take advantage of the wide range of early years education available.  Parents can find out about all the services available to young children from the Children's Information Service.
