School Admissions: Frequently Asked Questions

Allocation letters (for applications received by the closing date) will be sent out on the following dates:


Primary School Admissions for September 2012 (First Year Entry & Infant to Junior transfers) - 1st class on 23rd April 2012.

Secondary School Admissions for September 2012 (First to Middle, Primary to Secondary, and Middle to Upper transfers) - 1st class on 1st March 2012.

  5. Does my child have to attend my designated area school?
  6. Will I be guaranteed a place at my designated area school?

  9. If my child already has a sibling at the school, does that automatically gain them a place?
  10. Is it important how I rank my preferences on my Common Application Form?
  11. When will I know which school my child has been allocated?
