My neighbour is building an extension, I know they have planning permission but I think what they are doing is not consistent with the plan, how can I check?
You will need to make a note of what you think is wrong, For example:
- Is the extension larger or higher than you were led to expect?
- Are there unexpected features such as extra windows?
- Are they building a separate building rather than an extension?
You can then check on the Planning Public Access Module to see the approved plans and any conditions made when the permission was issued. If there is an infringement you can send in a complaint by completing an on-line form.
- How long will it take to get my application decided?
