Council Tax Recovery Policy

Your Questions answered

Each Council Tax payer is entitled to pay by monthly instalments on a date set by the Council.

In the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, the instalment due date is the first of the month.

You are entitled to pay by monthly instalments as long as you keep these instalments up to date. If instalments are not paid on time, the right to pay by instalments is lost and the full balance is due immediately.

The rules of the instalment scheme are prescribed by legislation.
