Win your council tax

Register for Local Life's 'paperless billing' system and your name will be entered into a free prize draw to win the cash equivalent of your council tax.

Five prizes will be up for grabs by residents who register in the first three months of the scheme. The winners will be selected at random after the closing date of midnight Thursday the 31st March 2011.

Paperless e-billing Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

Entries

• The prize draw is open to any person aged 18 over, who is liable to pay Council Tax to the Royal Borough and has, or by midnight 31st March 2011 has set up, arrangements for paperless council tax e-billing.
• Elected Members of the Royal Borough and their spouses will not be eligible for inclusion in the prize draw.
• Requests for paperless e-billing must be received by the Borough by close of business on 31st March 2011.
• All customers who have elected for paperless billing as of the 31st March 2011, will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
• Requests for paperless e-billing made after the deadline can still be accepted and set up, but will NOT be eligible for inclusion in the prize draw
• The Council Tax payer is responsible for the timely submission of any request. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

Winner

• The prize draw will be overseen by the Director of Resources and the Head of Finance who will act as judges.
• The prize winner must currently be maintaining their Council Tax payments and must not be in arrears, as of midnight on the 31st March 2011.
• The prize winners will be announced week commencing 4th April in writing as soon as possible after the draw date.
• The name of the prize winner may be published in the local press, with their agreement.
• The decision of the judge(s) is final. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the judge(s) decision.

Prize

• The prize will be as published, no alternative will be offered and the prize cannot be transferred to another person.
• There are 5 prizes. Five prize winners will win the cash equivalent of their 2010/11 Council Tax liability. Payment of the prize will be made cheque.
• The Royal Borough will notify the winner in writing.

Miscellaneous

• No correspondence will be entered into regarding the interpretation of these terms and conditions.
• No purchase is necessary for entry in the Prize Draw.
