Council Tax Bills are payable by monthly instalments, however, this is conditional upon each instalment being paid by the due date shown on the Council Tax Bill. Failure to do so will result in recovery action being taken. The right to pay by instalments may be withdrawn and the full balance may become payable immediately.

If you have a debit card you can make regular or one-off payments without leaving home or paying any charges, 24 hours a day by using the online payments service.
Payment may be made at the Post Office, using the Plastic Payment Card. Cheques must be made payable to 'Post Office Counters Ltd'. Please allow 5 days working days for this payment to reach the Council.
Payment can be made using the Plastic Payment Card wherever you see the paypoint sign. Many of these are open outside standard post office hours e.g. shops, petrol stations etc.
You should write your Council Tax account number on the back of the cheque or postal order. The account number starts with 9 and can be found on your Council tax bill.

Cash payments can be made at the kiosks - please make sure you have your Council Tax number ready to key in.
Cheque payments can be placed in the cheque payment boxes.
You must write your Council Tax account number on the back of the cheque.
