The Council values the rich diversity of its local community and the wider community who visit and work in the Royal Borough. The Council is therefore delighted to publish the Comprehensive Equality Policy - December 2006 to December 2009.
The Comprehensive Equality Policy has been written jointly with other members of the Community Partnership. It sets out the Council's corporate commitment and programmes to promote equality in all that we do. The policy incorporates the six equality strands of age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief and sexual orientation. It includes the Disability Equality Scheme, Gender Equality Scheme and Race Equality Scheme that are required by law. A copy of the document can be downloaded below. Please note the appendices to the Policy are only available upon request.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has completed the first year of the Comprehensive Equality Policy action plan. An updated action plan can be accessed by following the link below. The action plan is now being reviewed to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of local residents.
