Member Budgets

Member Budgets are part of our Big Society project on Participatory Budgeting.

A sum of £750 is available to each Member to award to local community initiatives or projects. This money can be pooled collectively with other Ward Members or adjoining Wards, and can be allocated to pretty much anything locally that helps the local area.

Members can liaise directly with Parishes, Community Groups, residents and businesses to choose their initiative and arrange for it to be put in place.

Once each Member has decided how their budget is to be spent they are asked to email neighbourhoodbudgets@rbwm.gov.uk with the following information:

  1. Short summary of the project or initiative
  2. Name of recipient organisation
  3. Amount to be allocated
  4. Timescale for the money to be spent

Details of local community initiatives/projects funded from the Members' participatory budgeting allowance.
