Service User Forums

Background

Service User Forums were introduced in June 2000 as an integral part of the new decision-making structure of the Council to ensure that the views of residents, users and key interest groups were put at the heart of the Council's decision-making process.

Each Forum is chaired by the Cabinet Member for the particular area of work, and though the Forums do not themselves have decision-making powers, the views expressed are fed into the policy-making process.
