Childcare Sufficiency Assessment

The Childcare Act 2006 requires local authorities to conduct a full Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) every three years, as we have a strategic and legal role to play in managing the childcare market. The CSA measures the balance between the supply of and demand for different types of childcare within a local area. The CSA process requires local authorities to seek the views of parents and carers, early years providers, employers and other relevant stakeholders in order to identify the gaps in childcare provision in a local authority's area.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has carried out its second full CSA. The document is available to download below (it has had to be published in short sections because of its large size).
