Sessions can help with badges such as Friend to Animals, Naturalist, Wildlife Explorer, Out & About and Outdoor Challenge. Sessions are very popular so do book early!

Using torches and bat detectors groups can see and hear bats hunting among the trees and over the fields of Braywick Park.

Learn or develop map and compass skills by exploring the trails, paths and wildlife habitats of Braywick Park.

Learn what birds need to survive, and make bird feeders or winter roosts from recycled materials.
In addition to the range of environmental activity sessions above Braywick can offer tailored sessions to meet the particular needs of your group. Perhaps they are working on a specific badge or award such as a Naturalist or Global Conservation badges, or Bird Watcher, Conservation, Discoverer, Friend to Animals or Seasons Badges. For older youth groups the Countryside Service may also be able to offer involvement in practical conservation tasks on local wildlife sites. Contact the Senior Countryside Ranger on 01628 777440.
The Countryside Service and local volunteers also run an environmental youth group, Braywick Watch Group, which is based at the Nature Centre. The group is open to children aged 7-12 years but there is a waiting list for children wishing to join. To find out more, contact us on 01628 777440.
