Wildlife Gardening Scheme

Welcome to the RBWM Gardens for Wildlife Scheme.

Bird and feederHere you can register your garden as a wildlife garden and get advice from the Countryside Rangers on how to make your garden more attractive to our local wildlife.

The UK has 15 million gardens covering 270,000 hectares of land - that's more than all the National Nature Reserves in the country!

Your garden can be a vital source of food and shelter for local wildlife and with a bit of planning even a window box or balcony can become a beautiful nature reserve!

PondThe following garden features are especially useful to all kinds of wildlife:

  • Bird feeders and bird baths
  • Areas of long grass
  • Dead wood
  • Ponds
  • Native trees, shrubs and wildflowers

To join in the wild garden fun and collect a free packet of wildflower seeds to get you going, please complete the Wildlife Gardening Scheme online form.
