Minibeast Studies

Full-day or Half-day activity for 5-12 years

Available: April until end of October

Braywick Park is a great place for pupils to visit and learn about the wealth of minibeasts that live in the natural world. A Minibeast Studies session give your class the opportunity to explore one habitat (half day session) or up to three habitats (full day session) in Braywick park, discovering the variety of amazing minibeasts that make their homes there. (Habitats which can be studied at Braywick are woodland, meadow or pond)

As well as covering minibeast idenitification and classification, pupils will be introduced to fieldwork techniques for observing minibeasts, and the important role that minibeasts play in our everyday lives. Topics such as adaptation, life cycles, interdependence, food chains and food webs can also be covered.
