Braywick Nature Centre Events

We run a range of events and activities at the Nature Centre and at open spaces, nature reserves and other venues across the Borough. These range from nature walks to holiday activities for children.

Stargazing Live in association with the BBC

Dates: Saturday 21st January
Venue: Braywick Nature Centre
Time: 6pm - 9.15pm

A night of stargazing at Braywick Nature Centre. Pre-viewing briefings every 30 minutes from 6.15pm until 9.15pm. An array of telescopes will be pointing at fascinating objects in the night sky (if clear) explained by our friendly astronomers, together with an exhibition.

Due to the popularity of last years event we suggest parking at Braywick Nurseries though there are spaces at Braywick Nature Centre. Free entry. Doors open 6pm. Children must be accompanied by adults. Refreshments will be available. Visit Maidenhead Astro for full information.

Big Birdwatch 2012

Dates: Saturday 28th January
Venue: Braywick Nature Reserve
Time: 10am - 12noon
Cost: Donations

Join us for a bird watching walk through Braywick Park Nature Reserve in Maidenhead with our local RSPB members, and get expert advice on how to survey birds for the Big Garden Bird Watch this weekend.

Trails may be muddy and unsuitable for pushchairs. Dogs must be on a lead. No booking necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. Meet at Braywick Nature Centre. For more information call 01628 673069.

Build a Bird Nest Box

Dates: Tuesday 14 & Thursday 16 February 2012
Venue: Braywick Nature Centre, Hibbert Road, Maidenhead
Time: 2pm-3.30pm
Cost: £7.50
