Local Housing Allowance Rates

The details on this page can be used to indicate how much Local Housing Allowance (LHA) you can expect to receive in specific areas of the borough. The final amount you will receive will be means tested and therefore will depend on the level of income and set up of your household.

The new LHA scheme comes into effect for people moving into a new address with a private landlord. LHA does not affect current customers with an on-going entitlement to benefit but may affect you in the future if you have a break in your claim or move address.

If you already have the postcode of a property you would like to rent visit the Rent Service LHA Direct website now for the current LHA rate.

The tables below shows the four Broad Rental Market Areas (BRMAs) in the Windsor & Maidenhead Borough and the areas that fall within them.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead BRMAs

The chart below shows the LHA rates for all of the BRMAs in the Windsor & Maidenhead Borough. You can use this chart to determine how much LHA you can expect to receive in each area of the borough based on the number of bedrooms you and your household qualify for. For more information on this please visit the LHA Direct website. NB: This page will be updated at the end of each month to reflect the rates for the month ahead.
