This scheme encourages customers such as architects or contractors to partner with a Building Control Authority of their choice. Building Control Applications are dealt with by the Partner Authority, wherever in the country, the work may be. This develops an excellent working relationship, resulting in the development of the familiarity and expertise needed to process applications more efficiently.

  • Offering FREE pre-application advice - We will have a look at any project prior to the submission of an application and give free advice on how to comply with national building standards. We will lead you through the Building Regulation process. Our surveyors have wide technical expertise, extensive knowledge of materials and construction methods. Early discussion can help identify problems and provide cost saving solutions.
  • Flexibility - We will always be willing to discuss an approach that suits your needs better.
  • Acknowledge - We will acknowledge all applications in writing within two working days, with a letter to both the applicant and their agent, explaining the Building Regulation process which will follow submission of the application.  This will also include a personal Inspection Plan for your project, detailing all you need to know when works commence on site.
  • Working in Partnership - throughout the life of the application, both applicants and agent are consulted. 
  • Local Knowledge - We have a wealth of local knowledge of conditions and problems. We will carry out a full and detailed check of your application and provide a list of any information required or where the Regulations have not been met. We will offer advice on how to meet these requirements.
  • Same Day Service - We will carry out as many inspections as you require and are necessary to ensure that the works comply with the Regulations. We will respond rapidly to your requests for inspections, by carrying out site inspections on the same day if the request is made before 10.30 am.
