There are no National Best Value Performance Indicators set for the Internal
Audit function. Instead, a range of local performance indicators have been
established to monitor performance.

Internal Audit in the Annual and Interim External Audit
Management Letters.

- All complaints dealt with within timescale and
measurable improvements to the Service provided, where
appropriate.

- Number of Audit Days provided compared to Planned
Days as expressed as % time spent on productive audit
work - target 100%
- Sickness absence kept to below National level.

- Target of 95 % of recommendations agreed.
