Activity Descriptions

Half Century Club and SMILE

These sessions are aimed at those who are 50+ and would like to take part in regular activities in a social environment, which incude short tennis, badminton, table tennis, and bowls. Equipment and coaching available.

Junior / Adult Badminton

These fun and exciting sessions introduce children to the skills invloved in badminton. Learning through fun games and drills your child will learn to develop key skills such as handeye co-ordination, body control and balance which are all vital for their development. Our Adult badminton club provides an ideal opportunity to learn new skills, develop match play and meet new people.

Netball

These well established sessions provide numerous coaching and competitive experiences for all players at all levels and ages. Training consists of skill related exercises, aerobic endurance drills and team building practices. Game experience is achieved through friendly inter leisure centre competition and for the older girls it provides an opportunity to represent their lesiure centre in the Charters Youth Netball League. Adult netball is also available throughout the week.

Rockets Basketball

These Reading Rockets supported sessions include skills development, professional coaching, matches, Reading Rockets prizes and subsidised tickets to home games.

Total Football

The Borough wide football programme provides a safe and secure sports environment for children to learn and develop their skills. These sessions are led by qualified and experienced coaches and are an ideal place for your child to learn the fundamental skills included in this sport.

Trampolining

For 3-19 year olds these structured sessions provide children with opportunity to learnand develop new skills. Trampolining is not just an excellent form of exercise but will also allow children to enhance their body control, flexibility and balance.
