Community wardens hands-on approach for Hallowe'en

Royal Borough community wardens will be hosting Hallowe'en-themed activities at Maidenhead and Windsor Libraries on Friday 28 October.

The wardens will provide a range of seasonal activities including face painting and spooky tales between 1 and 3pm for five to 11-year-olds.

Borough libraries have a wide range of activities on offer during half-term - visit www.rbwm.gov.uk for details.

Cllr Phill Bicknell, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Community Safety, said: "Over Hallowe'en the community wardens and our partners, including Thames Valley Police, work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has the chance to enjoy the celebrations and that vulnerable members of the community are safe.

"I am pleased that as well as the robust approach taken to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour, we are providing some of our younger residents the opportunity to get involved in the fun side of Hallowe'en.

"The wardens will also take the opportunity to give some relevant seasonal safety advice to the youngsters about taking care over the Hallowe'en period."

Brian Martin, Community Safety Manager, said: "I am delighted that our community wardens are getting involved in the spirit of Hallowe'en. This is yet another example of the great job they do in our communities."
