Arthur's surname is RICHARDS, but he enlisted and served as RICHARDSON, both CWGC and TWGPP register his burial as RICHARDSON. He enlisted in Reading. The Eton Wick History Group pages have detailed research on Arthur. He was born in Windsor.
Arthur had an agricultural background before the War. His brothers were listed as labourer and errand boy in 1911 census.
He is remembered at the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli. The South Wales Borderers 2nd Battalion landed at Cape Helles on 25th April and with an early confrontation with the Turks on 2nd May, Arthur lost his life.
