Henry, known as George, enlisted in London. The Grave registration register says Royal Army Service Corps. The UK Army Register of Soldiers Effects does not note how he died but he gave his life in Flanders in the last days of the War. He is remembered at Roisel Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France which commemorates over 1,000 soldiers who died in the countryside around which lies south of Cambrai.
Henry George was the son of Edwin George and Elizabeth Moss and was born in Boveney. He was baptised on 4th October 1891 in Eton, and was known as George.
