Eton Dorney Ambassadors
The project is looking for up to 500 local volunteers from across the community to support the 2012 olympics and paralympics events taking place at Eton Dorney Lake. The volunteers will be training to NVQ level in spectators safety and will act as "meeters and greeters" at 14 identified hubs in the area including main spectators arrival points such as railway stations, park and rides and town centres.
Please note volunteers must be 18 years old by the 1st July 2012 to apply

Sport Makers
This year anyone can be a sporting hero!
Whether it's planning the route, finding the pitch or encouraging people to take part - sport doesn't just happen, it needs people to make it happen - people like you! Become one of 40,000 Sport Makers and you'll not only get the skills, knowledge and opportunities you need to get more people playing sport, you'll become part of the official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics sports legacy.
More volunteers will encourage more people to be more active more often in Berkshire. It's a simple registration process and the the opportunity to take part in a 2012 - inspired Sport Makers workshop.

Monday 26th March, 6pm -9pm at Bisham Abbey, Nr Marlow
Monday 23rd April, 6pm - 9pm at Palmer Park Stadium, Reading
Tuesday 10th July, 6pm -9pm at Bisham abbey, Nr Marlow
