Young People
While the sustainability issues we are currently facing are largely the consequences of how we have lived over the last 50-60 years, it is young people who will be most affected. It is also today's young people who will have the biggest contribution to make in creating a sustainable future for all.
It is therefore incumbent on the rest of us to ensure that we provide the optimum conditions whereby the vitality and creativity of young people may be brought to bear on this agenda.
The Council is working to develop a 'culture of Learning for Sustainability' within and between organisations, their stakeholders and the communities they serve. The Council is encouraging organisations to address sustainability as a strategic issue, engaging all stakeholders in developing both a foundational understanding and appropriate actions as a continual action-learning process. For further information, contact the Council's Learning for Sustainability Coordinator via EcoLfS@rbwm.gov.uk.
