Due Diligence Policy Statement
Abatement Policy
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead as the administering authority to the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund is required by LGPS regulations to issue a policy statement on how it intends to abate pensions in the event of a former scheme member's re-employment. The following document is the current policy statement.
Statement of Investment Principles
The Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 require an administering authority to publish a written statement of investment principles. The statement must set out the extent to which the administering authority complies with ten principles of investment practice contained in a document published in April 2002 by CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) called "CIPFA Pensions Panel Principles for Investment Decision making in the Local Government Pension Scheme in the United Kingdom".
The ten investment principles were issued by the Government in October 2001 in response to proposals in the Myners Review of Institutional Investment in the United Kingdom, issued in March 2001.

Funding Strategy Statement 2008
This document is the Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) of the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund (the Berkshire Fund or the Fund) as administered by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. It has been prepared by the administering authority in collaboration with the Actuary to the Fund, Barnett Waddingham, and after consultation with the Fund's employers and is effective from 31st March 2008.
Governance Policy Statement
The following statement covers the policy of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead with regard to its role as the administering authority for the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund as required by the Local Government Pension Scheme (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2005. The policy reflects the legislative process and delegations as outlined in the Constitution of the Council.

Statement of Policy Concerning Communications
The following statement covers the policy of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead with regard to its role as the administering authority for the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund as required by Regulation 67 of the Local Government Pension Scheme (Administration) Regulations 2008.
This specific policy document deals with the communication of all aspects of the scheme to both employer bodies within the Fund and the individual LGPS members.
