Circular 223 - Practitioner and employer training events "understanding" workshops
This Circular has been issued to advise authorities of two workshops to be run at many locations across the UK that have been organised by the Local Government Pension Committee (LGPC).
Circular 222 - Pensions for Councillors
In July 2008 the LGPC conducted a survey of pension provision for councillors in England. The results of this survey are contained in this circular.
Circular 221 - Ill Health Certificates - England and Wales
Circular 212 of July 2008 set out the ill health retirement provisions currently applicable under the LGPS in England and Wales and provided sample ill health certificates. Following discussions at the Ill Health Monitoring Group, the sample certificates have been slightly updated and, as promised in Circular 212, two further sample certificates have been added for use when reviewing 3rd tier ill health retirement cases.
Circular 220 - "Casuals" and the LGPS in Scotland
The purpose of this Circular is to set out the LGPC's understanding of the corresponding provision which will apply in Scotland from 1 April 2009.

Circular 218 - Casual Employees in England and Wales. Further informaiton covering the eligibility of scheme members in joining and retaining benefits in the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Circular 217 - Withdrawal of GAD Passports (Scotland). This Circular has been issued to bring to the attention of authorities the note issued by the Government Actuary's Department signalling the withdrawal of GAD passport certificates i.e. withdrawal of certificates showing that a contractor's pension scheme is broadly comparable to the Local Government Pension Scheme in Scotland.
