How Do I Transfer?

To investigate a transfer of previous pension rights please complete the 'Declaration of Previous Pension Rights' form attached to the factsheet entitled 'Transferring former pension rights into the LGPS'. At this stage you are only expressing an interest in transferring your benefits. Once you have been made aware of what the transfer will purchase in the LGPS you will need to sign a declaration confirming whether or not you want the transfer to go ahead.

PLEASE NOTE - an election to transfer former pension rights into the LGPS has to be made in writing within 12 months of joining the LGPS. If you have been employed for more than one year you will need to contact your employer to obtain permission to investiagte a transfer further.
